Jo, I am truly sorry for your loss. It never failed that when I would see you and Ralph heading out to run errands or to Church he spoke....it might have been Alabama football or another topic...his very engaging smile....it was very obvious that he loved you very much....the world would be a better place if all were like you....Jo you have my blessings and prayers...may God be with you and continue to give you strenght.

The world lost a kind soul when Ralph York passed. When I would speak of, or introduce my Great Uncle I would call him my GREAT Great Uncle Ralph, because he truly was a great and wonderful person who's gentle spirit will be missed. My prayers of comfort and love go out to all of the family.

Uncle Ralph was a dear and wonderful man who loved to laugh. It was a joy being in his presence.

Uncle Ralph was a dear & sweet man throughout his lifetime of consideration and caring for friends, family & others. He enjoyed a long & fruitful life happily married to "Jo" Scott York, his true love, for 58 years. They made every effort just to be together. In retirement years, when either left home, the other usually got into the car & went along to enjoy their days together. They were active in church and were faithful witnesses for the Lord Jesus.
We will miss Uncle Ralph, yet we know that because of his faith in Jesus as Lord & Savior, Ralph is already in heaven with our risen Lord and with the rest of his birth family, now reunited in gloryland. We look forward to seeing him and the others their when our Lord returns or calls each of us home from our earthly pilgrimage. Karen & I thank other guests here for your ongoing prayers in favor of Aunt Jo, Joanna, Al, Sharon & Al's 3 sons.

I will miss my Uncle Ralph, a special caring man, with a big heart and a sweet, sweet smile. Heaven is a happier place today...the brothers, sisters, mom and dad all together again!! We will surely miss him and remember all the good times we had together.

My memory of Empire, Alabama, in the 1930's and 1940's were brought back in reading Ralph's obituary. My thoughts and prayers are with his survivors during this difficult period.
