Dr. Ramon Ramos

I'm so sorry for your loss. I just heard of his passing. Dr. Ramos was my son's doctor for many years starting in 1999. He was a great doctor and I loved his bedside manner. He gave me confidence being a new mom and calmed my fears. I was so sad to hear of his passing. God bless

I am just learning of Dr. Ramos' passing. It deeply saddens my husband and myself. We just had our first child and were told that you were the best. I was so amazed at the informed choice you gave parents. While being a new parent from a different country and not having any help here, I will say that coming into your facility and you seeing our son as well as you reassuring me on my questions and the care I was giving him made the World of difference in my life. You, your wife and other staff make me at home.

You will be deeply missed. I pray for strength for your family and staff. I guarantee you were a beacon of strength for countless families, I know you were for me.

I just found out about Dr. Ramona's passing. It saddens me to no end. My husband and I started taking my kids to him in 1995 with my first born. Any child would be blessed to have had him as his or her doctor! He was a great doctor and a great man.

We decided to change pediatrician right after our twin boys were born. We wanted somebody that could understand how freaked out parents can be and calm us Dow with empathy, knowledge and sincerity. We got a call from Ramos office after being on his waiting list : a spot was available and so we became his patients. That is how we got to know him. The kids talked about him after visits at his office and my wife and I talked about his kindness, understanding and empathy after the visits. He impacted our lives. We will miss you dearly Dr Ramos.

As a son, he was very special, and loving, as a brother, one of the best, as a human being, one in a thousand. Our family will never forget him. Our love for him is stronger than death.

Dr. Ramos was a wonderful person and doctor and will greatly be missed by all. We had the pleasure to have known him and what an incredible person he was. Christina and family our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time but have comfort in knowing that God was blessed with an angel.

It is a privilege to say he was the pediatrician for 8 of our grandchildren. While working at The Birthplace at Telfair I always loved hearing his enthusiastic voice and seeing him interact with the parents and babies. I loved his ability to think integrative medicine and outside the box. Dr. Ramos you will be sorely missed by many! Thank you to his family for sharing him.

Dr. Ramos was a wonderful pediatrician. He was so kind when each of my boys had to spend time in the hospital. One of my fondest memories is the time my son asked if he could go play with Dr. Ramos. Dr. Ramos' kindness made my children at ease when they were ill. I will always be grateful for his kindness and wisdom.

Dr Ramos our hearts were forever grateful to you for saving our Jack’s life... and we shared this with you every moment we saw you. Even as a young adult there was never a time you could get through Publix without Jack squeezing your neck and telling you he loved you. Dr ramos was the best pediatrician a mom could ask for. I've always hated going to the doctors but every time I took my kids to ramos I knew he genuinely cared and listened. He was the best pediatrician and person. You could just tell he had a heart of gold. He listened. I can't even imagine my children being seen by anyone else now. Dr ramos was an amazing person and out all worries I had at ease and was a huge advocate for parents choices and advocating for your child. We will greatly miss ramon ramos.

Dr Ramos was a wondering paediatrician and colleague. He was so caring visiting me and my children in the special care nursery during a 2 week stay. So dearly missed, my children are now 11/16/16.

This breaks my heart! Dr. Ramos is a Godsend and I will forever be thankful for his wisdom and love and kindness he showed and gave my four children. He was the only doctor in Savannah who urged me to never put my Autistic son on medication. He always advocated for him and in the end Dr. Ramos was right and my son prevailed. My daughter was always sick when she was a baby and he never vaccinated her by what the schedule said he took care of her first. Her health and safety came first. This man was a loving doctor who genuinely treated every patient as family. May his legacy live on through all his patients and loved ones.

I will never ever forget the impact Dr. Ramos had on my family! He had the gentlest soul. He was a world of knowledge and taught me so much. He found my daughter's right torticollis right away and saved my daughter from years of pain. I'm completely heart broken and can't imagine doctor visits without him. My daughter turns 3 on the 23rd and she is so sad that he's gone but we know we will see him again!

I was one of Dr. Ramos first babies, he was the first one to hold me whenever I was born in 1992. After I was born I started having kidney issues and he did not give up until he figured out what was wrong with me, I went on to see him every week for year because one of my kidneys was dead. Fast forward to now, he was both my boys doctor! I'll never forget him loving on my littlest at every appointment and saying just how beautiful my babies are! The world lost an amazing man and an even better doctor! We are gonna miss him SOOOOO much!!! Rest in peace! We love you

El Dr Ramos was a wonderful doctor. Funny, he was the pediatrician of my two kids until they reached the age of 21 and 18. We didn't want to go to another doctor. God comforts his family! We will miss him a lot! :(

I’m heartbroken over the loss of this amazing doctor. He was such a loving kind and smart man. He saw all 3 of my children from their infancy and we all adored him. I feel very alone knowing he’s no longer with us.

My heart is heavy with this news he was my last 2 children’s doctor I moved from Boston MA and had a very hard time finding a good doctor and I met Dr. Ramos and fell in love with his kind heart and vast knowledge in the pediatric field... When both of my girls were born he kissed them on there head and said she’s perfect... and 16 years later he would put I bug smile on his face and say she’s perfect... my son is now 28 when he was born I saw Dr.Ramos holding the babies in the nursery at Candler Hospital and I asked who is that man and at that time I was told he was a pediatrician and I said he is the one for my son . Dr Ramos was absolutely amazing. His hugs, his smiles, his laughter...I recently moved to Belgium and while there was discussing specialist that may help my son. Astonishingly another mother in this European country across an entire ocean began telling me of this incredible pediatrician she had sought out while living near Savannah Ga. Dr Ramon Ramos my pediatrician! We moved back this summer and immediately returned to his office for help. My children were finally in safe hands again, now again without him we feel lost!

Dr. Ramon Ramos was a caring and compassionate physician. His untimely passing due to Covid-19 is a tragedy and he will be missed by so many. Ramon and I worked together in the Memorial Medical Center Emergency Department when he first came to Savannah in the 1980’s. He was gifted physician and so passionate about his work. Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory, old friend.

Dr. Ramos was a great person and a wonderful doctor. His love for children was obvious and powered his practice. We always looked forward to seeing him; he will be greatly missed by the entire community. Thank you Dr. Ramos for everything you did for my children, for me, and for Savannah.

Ramon was the kindest man I’ve ever known. He was in the room the day our youngest entered the world. He took care of both our daughters until they were too old to see a Pediatrician. Dr. Ramon Ramos was not only very knowledgeable, he was also extremely compassionate. His patients were always well cared for. I enjoyed working with him for a number of years. He was a good friend. Prayers are being lifted up for his family and closest friends.
