Ramona Kiefer Obituary
On July 7 God open the cell door of the prison of Alzheimer and welcomed her home.
She was born Oct. 1, 1933 in Clearfield, PA, the daughter of James and Esther (Kable) Foster.
Ramona was a graduate of the Clearfield High School.
She was a member of the Antes Fort United Methodist Church.
After raising her two sons, she became a CNA and worked as until retirement.
Before moving to Antes Fort in 1992, she spent many years as a resident of Windham Township, Bradford County, PA.
Ramona was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Windham Township Volunteer Fire Co.
In her teenage years, she was a big fan of the movie stars of that era. But, her biggest joy was going to the cabin with her family. Ramona was gifted in crocheting and got much praise for her work.
Being the oldest of 10 siblings, Ramona never lost her desire to be the mother to one and all.
Ramona is survived by her devoted family; husband, George Kiefer of Antes Fort; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Andrew and Karen Askey of Parker, CO, Bruce and Jean Askey of Elmira, NY; two brothers, Fred Foster of Cogan Station, John Foster of Muncy; four sisters, Amy Cowher of Rauchtown, Sheila Fox of Williamsport, Carolyn Hunt of Woodland, PA and Carol Lumadue of West Decatur; four grandchildren, James and Joseph of Parker, CO and Amanda and Joshua of Elmira, NY.
Preceding her in death were four brothers, Jack, James, Arthur and Kenneth Foster.
Ramona's Life Celebration will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Antes Fort United Methodist Church with Rev. Stevan Atanasoff officiating. A visitation will be from 11 am until 12 pm at the church. The interment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday July 16, 2014 at the Valley Home Cemetery, Windham, Bradford County.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Antes Fort United Methodist Women, 39 Main Road, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
Arrangements are being handled by the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home" 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, PA.

She is a beautiful lady with a heart of gold. A great friend to us. We have special memories of the times we shared with Ramona and George. We will miss her but know that she is not suffering anymore. RIP dear friend.
