I am very sorry to learn about Randy's passing. We were both residents of North Hall Co-Op at the University of Florida and shared a room during his last semester. He was a committed resident of the Co-Op and did a lot to help recruit and screen new members, always going above and beyond. I remember how he would sometimes answer our phone (a land line back in those days) with "SSBN 641, USS Simon Bolivar, Chief Petty Officer Randy Harrison speaking, this is a non-secure line, how may I help you?" which would throw quite a few callers for a loop. He was very good natured, giving, a friend to all, and many of his favorite sayings - mostly from his Navy days - became catchphrases around the Co-Op. Sometimes he'd load a bunch of us up into his van and give us a ride to the gigantic flea market in nearby Waldo, Florida with ZZ Top blasting away. A good soul. I know he will be missed. Mike Habeck, UF North Hall Co-Op 1981-1984.

He was my brother, my twin. I miss him every day. We were very close, however we had a small rift over political parties the last few years.
Miss you Randy!

This was a true patriot and friend of mine. Randy and I shared many memories about the Navy and the University of Florida. He was always up on the political jargon and had an extreme dislike of the Democratic party. Which many understand today. I loved his personality and his friendship. He will be missed. God bless you Sir, where ever you may be in this vast universe. Until we meet again. . . Fair Winds and Following Seas - --- McDavid
