I knew Randy in SDSU in the late 70s. I would consider him a good friend and lots of great memories. My condolences to his family. I wish I had kept in closer contact over the years but my memories of Randy are fond memories.

My condolences to the family. I’m so happy that I had a chance to meet and visit with Randy a couple of times, especially our last coffee. Since we shared the same first and last name, it was fun talking about our past, determining how far down the line we were related (I believe we determined we were 3rd or 4th cousin) and how we sometimes were mistaken for each other. I really appreciated the bottle of wine he gave me and I loved the name!

Although I hadn't seen Randy for some time I did learn a lot about gardening from him several years ago. When he was president of Oak Trails Asso. he and I talked often. I was always impressed with his collectible items. He was talented man and always fun to talk to.
