Randy Akins Obituary
Randy spent many years of his life devoted to serving the youth of his community through 4-H, FFA, and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Randy was a member of the Community of Christ Church for more than half of his life and influenced numerous lives with his generous spirit and kind heart.
Randy is lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of almost 41 years, Lisa; and his son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Courtney Akins; as well as his daughter and son-in-law, Meagan and Aaron Prock. Randy will also be forever remembered by his precious grandchildren, Kelsey Akins, Jaxon Akins, Jace Means, Kinley Akins, Emery Prock, and Ellyson Prock; and his great-grandson, Camdyn Akins. Randy is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Cindy Akins; his sister and brother-in-law, Reba and Rick Burgess; and his sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Timothy Hardee. Randy will also always be remembered by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Judy Magness; as well as sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lory and Steve Dahlhauser; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joni and Bobby Parker. Randy and his family also wanted to make honorable mention of his right-hand man, Scott Garrett. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Jack Akins; mother, Barbara Akins; sister, Vickie; and brothers Leslie Akins, Bobby Akins and David Akins. Randy will also be forever remembered by his numerous friends and extended family.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Community of Christ Church, 200 N. Grand, Poteau, with long-time friend, Wayne Hoffman, officiating.
Randy believed in honesty, kindness and generosity and he lived his life to reflect these values. He also believed in having fun and going on adventures. We can all honor his life by treating others with kindness and generosity while remembering to have a few adventures along the way.
Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, is handling arrangements.

I'm in shock. Lisa my heart breaks for you both. You two were so close, so cute. Randy you are definitely missed. Always smiling and do anything to help anyone,Ate alot his barbecue and cooking. Prayers for Lisa ♥ and Family and Randy give them all a hard time up there! I believe everyone feels this loss.

Randy was a customer of mine for at least 15 years, maybe more. He was a genuine person who never sugar coated a thing! You knew when he loved you and you knew when he was mad at you. And to be honest that was the best type of customer to have. On top of being our customer though he was our friend. He offered his help more times than I can count... and I know he would have always been there for me. To my dear sweet pea, Rest In Peace. You will be missed beyond measure.

We have so many memories of Randy - working at our farm building our horse barn & Joe's shop, reroofing our barn, enjoying meals in our home, enjoying meals in your home, checking on what new critters were at your place, and above all - laughing.
