Today my heart morns the lost of a member of my village of raising boys. Raquel always welcomed me and my family into the wrestling world, which I know very little about. she had the warmest smile which made anyone feel like a friend for a lifetime. She has so much to be proud of. May her spirit continue to shine through Coach AJ, & her boys. God bless you. Isiah, Niles, & Nicole

I would like to Thank God and Raquel's family for sharing her with us. I meet Raquel at Kaiser back in 97, she trained many of us in Med A. I had the opportunity to hang around with Kelly in our freshman yr. @ Edison. Mostly watchin the jocks practice!!! LoL She always had the most beautiful smile! Always happy n carefree! I can't remember when, or why we drifted apart... But I'm glad i got to see her again from time to time @ the wrestling matches I attended. Still smiling that beautiful smile of hers!!!! I know that it's going to be rough for her hubby n her beautiful boys and my heart goes out to you, as well as the rest of her family! R.i.p. Kelly!

Raquel's passing exhibits to us all just how much she accomplished in her abruptly shortened life. The hearts she touched and the influence her loving charm had on our community is evident. I've heard people ask "how does she do it?", I wish I knew.

Raquel is a person I regret not knowing better.

I am deeply saddened by the loss. I had the opportunity to work closely with Raquel as medical assistants, shop stewards and management. You were a true friend and will never be forgotten.

In the 16 years I've known Raquel I can't ever remember anyone ever saying anything bad about her. Her infectious laugh, outgoing personality and compassion for others helped so, so many who came in contact with her. In Raquel's role as a Medical Assistant, Shop Steward and eventually a Manager, she mentored many co-workers who will hopefully carry with them all the good she passed on to them. Raquel, gone from our lives but never absent from our hearts.

I am so sorry to hear of Raquel's passing. She was such a kind person. My prayers go out to her family and loved ones.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I met Raquel at Edison our freshman year she was always smiling and such a happy spirit. I ran into Raquel thru wrestling and one thing that hadn't changed was her happy spirit. My prayers are with her family. RIP Raquel you will always be in our hearts.

I knew Raquel from work at Kaiser. She was a beautiful soul who was always smiling. My heart aches for her husband and children for this sudden and unexpected loss. I hope in time you are able to find comfort knowing that she touched so many people in her short life and was loved by many.

I remember first meeting Raquel at St. George's School. She had beautiful long braided pigtails. She laughed often and smiled greatly. She touched my heart, and I'm sure many.
