Raul Enrique Arguello Jr., 61, passed away on July 4, 2025, in his hometown of Quito, Ecuador where he was also born on August 26, 1963. Raul lived a life marked by professional excellence and a spirited presence that touched many.

Services will be held on July 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Church of Fishkill, 106 Jackson St., Fishkill, NY.

Raul began his career in the construction industry as an estimator, where his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication quickly distinguished him. His expertise led him to serve as chief estimator and later as principal consultant. Among his many accomplishments, he took particular pride in his work on the rehabilitation of the Wurst Street Bridge in Kingston, New York-a project that showcased both his technical skill and commitment to innovation.

Motivated by a desire to make a broader impact, Raul founded Hudson Hills, a construction consulting firm that flourished under his leadership. His contributions during the Bloomberg and de Blasio administrations supported key urban revitalization efforts across New York City. These projects reflected not only his professional acumen but also his devotion to community development.

Outside of work, Raul was known for his lively energy and love of bringing people together. He found joy in entertaining and cooking for others, creating gatherings filled with warmth and laughter. A die-hard soccer fan, he also enjoyed golf, swimming, and biking-pursuits that reflected his zest for life. Raul had a fun and loving presence that touched many lives.

Raul will be deeply missed by his mother, Betty Arguello; his son, Michael Anthony Arguello; and his siblings: Jenny Boustani (John), Nora Ryan (Michael), Marie Basilone (Steven), and John Arguello (Jessica). He also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will cherish their memories of him.

He was predeceased by his father, Raul Enrique Arguello Sr.; his brother, John Patricio Arguello; and his beloved dog Maximus Arguello.

May the memory of Raul Enrique Arguello Jr. bring comfort to all who knew him and peace through faith to those who mourn.
