RAY BRUSS

Ray Allen Bruss, age 83, 0f the Township of Nepeuskun, died peacefully at his home on Friday, September 27, 2013.

Ray was born January 8, 1930 in Franklin, WI, the son of Alvin and Elsie Kolbow Bruss. Ray went to School in Franklin and on Nov. 3, 1956, he was united in marriage to Eileen Susan Boyd at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Franklin. They farmed near Franklin and moved to the area in 1977 where they operated a dairy farm.

Ray was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon, and had served on the church council in both of his churches. Farming was his life.

He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Eileen; two sons, Dale (Sara) and David (Susan) Bruss; four grandchildren, Rachel, Chad, Ben, and Jonathon; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Kenny; and his brother and sister-in-law Lyle and Lorraine Bruss.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon, the Rev. Dennis Meier officiating. Interment will be in Nepeuskun Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Church or the American Diabetes Foundation.
