RIP Ray (Grandpa) Fox

What can be said about this great man. Grandpa was loved by everyone that meet him. There was something about that gentle giant, he seemed to have a gleam of joy in his eyes that sparkled every time he spoke. No matter what the conversation was about you always felt like it was just you and him only during that conversation, you always had his fully devoted attention whether it was five minutes or five hours. Grandpa was unique in his way to lighten up a room. No matter how down you felt or how much the world seemed to be against you, he could always tell a joke or tell you he loved you and everything would just seem to disappear. I believe that was his calling during his time here, the ability that he had to make every person he meet feel loved and wanted, truly is an amazing gift. Even though he has gone to be with the Lord, we have been given a tremendous opportunity to have him live forever in our hearts and memories. Some of the best memories for me, would be the times that Daniel and I would sit in his Big Rig as it was parked beside the house in Odessa, and pretend we were driving down the highway, and Grandpa would be explaining what buttons to push or gears to shift into. I remember when we would go into the back yard and get a lesson from Grandpa on how to tend a garden, then pick the vegetables, go inside clean them and eat them for lunch. I remember the countless times of trying to beat Grandpa at chess, he always seemed to be losing but somehow always won. Also who could forget the many times, that unfortunately, Daniel and I meet the end of the Famous "Razor Strap", I am sure we deserved it but even these times are fond memories of mine. To a wonderful Grandfather, thank you for all of the time and memories that we have shared, I will always cherish everyone of them. I love you and will see you again one day.
Love always
Your Grandson,
Raymond Scott Witt

Ray will be missed. His life and his family are proof that it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you but rather what you leave behind when you go that matters. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers and do not hesitate to contact me should you need anything. I love you all. Teresa Blevins-Mize (Grand Prairie, TX)

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be. We are all going to miss him.
