Ray Weston Guillot

Ray Weston Guillot fought the good fight and finished the race on January 20, 2014 when he died from kidney failure at the Butterfly Hospice wing of Baton Rouge General Hospital. His wife, Joan Patricia (Paddy) Warren Guillot, of 55 years, friends and family were present when he passed into eternity.

Ray was born in Lecompte, LA and graduated from Lecompte High School in 1956. For years, he and Paddy lived in West Monroe, LA where Ray worked in the home building industry selling brick and stone. He was active in the Home Builders Association, Toastmasters, St. Paul's Methodist Church, Fountain of Life Church and other churches before moving back to South Louisiana. He was employed as a hearing aid specialist with Audibel.

For the last eighteen years, Ray lived in Denham Springs, LA. He attended Abundant Life Church and loved studying the Bible. Almost as much as studying and teaching the Bible, Ray loved peanuts, chocolate and toothpicks.

Ray is survived by his wife, Paddy; three sons: Billy (wife Cherie), John (wife: Kathleen), Paul (wife: Michelle); one daughter: Joan (husband: Mark); eight grandchildren: Rebecca, Ashlie, Elizabeth, Jessica, Erica, Taylor, Zachary, Anna; and two great grandchildren.

Ray also is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Derbonne, Geraldine Rich and Ina Faye Smith, and his mother, Mittie Robertson.

He is predeceased by his father, Weston, and brother John Baptiste (J.B.) Guillot.

Memorial Services will be held at Abundant Life Church in Denham Springs, LA at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25. There will be a brief visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Instead of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ray to the Christian Broadcasting Network.

2nd Timothy 4:7-8: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

I was talking with our Lord today inquiring about what you were doing. He showed me that you and JB were sitting on a bench with your heads together, laughing and catching up. I miss you but am so thrilled that you are so happy and no longer in pain. We will see you soon!
