Dear Sheila, Family, and Friends,
Ray was a fine outdoorsman with whom I enjoyed hunting and fishing adventures. I enjoyed his skills and presence and campfire conversations immensely over the years. But most of all, Ray was kind, and that stands above all. I will remember him ever and fondly. Thank you for sharing him with me.
Kindly,

We think about the Ottos a lot, heck the other night a group of Pintails went whistling overhead at dusk going mach speed and I just had to crack a smile because it made me think of Ray. I have weekly moments like that . . . where I think of Ray. Sometimes it's his voice in my head saying "hey Sean" with that tone of enthusiasm and zest for life that was infectious to anyone around him. That positive energy seemed to forever radiate from him and he was always willing to send some your way. Both he and Sheila had a tremendous influence on our marriage over the years and Cathleen and I are forever grateful for that friendship and those memories. It was always good to head to Breckenridge to get some Otto time and of course share the latest bottle or two of Cabernet that Ray had discovered. I will remember Ray as an important mentor, fun bird-hunting pal and above all a great friend whom I will continue to appreciate for his guidance. I miss my pal Ray, but will continue to celebrate the memories and hope all of the Ottos and all of you are able to celebrate Ray too.

I will never forget Dr. Otto and working with him at Dental Group West. He was the sweetest man and the most pleasant to work with. I remember one day He came into the office and I told him how much I like his denim shirt, next thing I know He takes it off and gives it to me glad he had a shirt on underneath. I was so surprised but happy I still have that shirt and it has been over 20 yrs now. He was a truly great man and will be greatly missed.

Dr. Otto gave me my first dental assisting job in 1966 & what a good teacher he was! Our office was on West Woodruff & Mrs.Lorraine Poulin was at the front desk. The office was small, but efficient & we really got to know the patients. To this day, there are families I will never forget. After completing dental hygiene I was a part of Dental Group West until I went back to school to complete my degree. I am very honored to have worked for Dr. Otto. He cared about his patients & his staff. My caring thoughts are with you all.

To the entire Otto family, our sympathies and heartfelt prayers go out to all of you. Dr. Otto was one of a kind in so many ways and he and Mrs. Otto were so welcoming to myself and Denny's many friends growing up. My first formal Lake Erie fishing experience was with Dr. Otto and he couldn't have been more patient with a newby! His dry wit and gentle demeanor was a joy to experience. My biggest sorrow is having moved away from Toledo so long ago and going so many years without seeing him or Mrs. Otto, but the memories I have will not be forgotten, nor will the impact he had on so many lives.
All my best,
Ty (and Susan) Silberhorn
