Ray Stringer

Ray Stringer passed away at his Somerset home after a prolonged illness. He was born in Ringgold, KY, and was of the Baptist faith. Ray had several businesses locally, and a successful cab company in New Castle, Indiana. He then worked for General Motors (Delco Remy) in Anderson, IN, where he retired, before moving back to Somerset.
He is survived by his sister, Pearlie Childres, his children: Brenda (Homer) Corder, Dora Ray Gossage, James (Debbie) Stringer, all of Monticello, KY, Robert Stringer of Louisville, KY, and Tami Moore (Edward) of Shepherdsville, KY. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Donyale (Stuart) Chriswell, Dawnette (Jason) West, Shannon (James) Shelton, Cara Corder, all of Monticello, KY, Bradley (Myra) Corder of Berea, Michael Saettel Jr., Leanne (Zachary) Buhl of Omaha, NE, and Derrick (Sosha) Malone of Shepherdsville, KY. Great Grandchildren: Ethan and Maddy Royalty, Abigail Shelton, Logan and Zachary West, Rylan Matthews, Camryn Dobbs, Andrew, Gabe, Chase and Belle Saettel, Taylor, Tristan, and Samantha Buhl, Hannah Watkins, and Oliver Malone, as well as one great, great grandchild, Oakley Grace, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Thelma Jane (Hall) Stringer, sister, Barbara Ann Vanover, brother, William “Bill” Stringer, son-in-law, Donald Gossage, grandson Alexander Ray Malone, and great grandson, Bret Shelton.
Visitation will be at Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, KY, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 11-1 pm, with funeral services starting at 1 pm. Interment to immediately follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset, KY.
