Raylena was a joy! I met Raylena on our opening day of seminary, when we sat around tables in Hafer and had to share call stories. From that moment, I knew she was someone very special. We shared many laughs, struggled through our studies together, and really enjoyed each other's company when we traveled to Thailand as part of our cross-cultural experience. I truly valued her wisdom, resilience, and fortitude. I've thought about her hundreds of time since graduating and followed her as she returned to Thailand and later, to Japan. I am both glad to have had the opportunity to meet her and to be able to call her "friend." She will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to the entire family, especially her sons, of whom she spoke fondly of many times.
