Uncle Ray was my aunt's husband but also my first crush. I was 5. lol. He was always fun, kind, patient, and humble. He and my Aunt Dorothy took us to Disney World when I was about 10 and my sister was about 12 and he bought me a cowboy hat because I loved his so much. He was a beautiful soul, and all who knew him, loved him. He was a good man, and will be missed by many.

I first met Ray at a Ham Club meeting in Payson, AZ where he was serving as President. He always had a well prepared lecture or demonstration to share and later, when I became President of the club, I tried to follow his format. I thought that was the way a meeting was supposed to run!
Back then I wished I knew a tenth of what he had forgotten about radio and electronics. It was always a pleasure to hear his stories about flying and projects he had worked on.
Ray was a great man and will be sorely missed.

My favorite memory of Uncle Ray was when I was 8 years old and he took me up in his plane for a ride. He even let me `pilot´ the plane. I loved it! And I love him. So sorry for your loss. Love you!

Ray and I met at the Ham Club in Phoenix when we were both very young. He married my sister and we have been close ever since. He was very smart and helped me with radio problems. He will be missed by all who knew him.
