Raymond C. Bergeron Jr., 83, of Holyoke, died on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Heritage Hall West in Agawam. He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Raymond and Rita (Parent) Bergeron and was a 1950 graduate of Holyoke High School. Ray was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War, and worked for more than twenty-seven years at ADT Security in Springfield, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Holyoke Revolver Club, and enjoyed playing darts at the American Legion Post in Granby. Ray was the widower of Constance (Kurth) Bergeron who passed away on November 13, 2004. He is survived by a daughter, Beth Martel of CT, four grandchildren: Emily, Shae, Katie and Isabelle, two sisters, Jean Moreau and Margaret Shepardson, and several nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by a son, Steven R. Bergeron, in 1974. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:30 from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Jerome Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield MA 01104.
