Raymond Slaninka formerly of Rolling Meadows The visitation for Mr. Raymond Slaninka, 85, of Fallbrook, Calif., will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Community Church of Rolling Meadows, 2720 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake. Born March 28, 1920, in Chicago, he died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at the Corona Medical Rehabilitation Center in Corona, Calif. A veteran of World War II, he had worked for AT&T and Lucent as an electronics engineer for many years. He was the husband of the late Ethel; father of Janet (Robert) Hickey and Raymond M. (Lorna) Slaninka; grandfather of Robert (Shelley) Hickey, Karen (Mike) Moore and Krista Smith; great-grandfather of Zachary and Katie Hickey, and Andrew and Matthew Moore; and brother of the late Frank Slaninka. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community Church of Rolling Meadows. Arrangements were made by the Meadows Funeral Home, Rolling Meadows, 847-253-0224.
