I always considered Ray the cutest kid in school at St Georges. He was a nice kid and had a sense of humor. Sadly I found out he passed away almost a year later when my sister ran into his sister (I believe) in Brentwood. He will always be in my heart as my school buddy. Strength and love to Rays family.

I am deeply saddened and stunned by Ray's sudden and much too early passing. It was always an unpredictable experience each time you were in the presence of Ray. I am grateful for those times. I will never forget them or him. May the GOD of all comfort all affected by this great void left by the loss of a cheerful and giving person and spirit.

Bobak Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know that there are no words that can truly take away the pain of such a difficult loss, but know that Ray's memory and spirit will live on in the hearts of so many. I had the great pleasure of having Ray as a volleyball coach for many years. He impacted my life in so many ways, teaching me to be a leader, a team player, and the meaning of hard work. Ray's passion for the game and his love for each of his players will never be forgotten. I will never forget the MANY memories that we all shared together during those years.
Keep a court ready for us up there, Ray!

Dear Cindy & Family,
Raymond, what a great guy! He made us smile and laugh!! He taught us things we couldn't learn elsehwere -- stair diving, elevator jumping ... and you always knew when Ray paid a visit to your condo at the beach. Not by his mere presence, but the present he left for you! In the middle of the night you would wake up freezing with frost on the windows and the thermostat turned all the way down! We will miss you at the Penguin games, but most of all we will miss you, your laugh and your smile.

Dear Bobak Family,
Like so many other signatures here, I played volleyball for Ray at P3R. You wanted to hate him for yelling at you and making you to laps or pushups, but you just loved him for his passion for the game and for "his girls" who played for him. Ray would have done anything for anyone, and that showed through his bubbly and intense spirit.
Ray touched my life by showing me what drive, compassion, and commitment really was. He was such an amazing guy, and I'm so sorry to hear about his passing.
And Ray, if you're reading this too, I just wanted to remind you that St. Alphonsus beat Bishop Leonard in 2001 (my 8th grade year) for the Diocesan Championship. :) Figured you're up there rolling your eyes at that one!
Love You Ray! God Bless your family during this hard time -- I hope they can take comfort in all the kind words and thoughts about you!

Ray was one of the most special people I had ever met. I met Ray at sears a few years ago and he has touched my life for ever. Ray was so special and people were naturally drawn to him. Can't say I ever saw him in a foul mood. His zest for life was so contagious, and probably one of my favorite memories is when he dressed up as a bear at work. We shared a love of Halloween and any reason to dress up. I am sure you are up in Heaven showing Jesus how to decorate. I will miss you forever.

To All Of The Bobak Family - I am truly sorry for such a great loss. As I write this to all of you, I can't help but cry and laugh at the same time. Knowing Raymond for over 40 years, and remembering of the the crazy things we did brings great memories that I will always cherish. Ray taught me volleyball when I was 18 years old. Later in life Raymond taught my daughter Brittany at Bishop Leonard. Brittany even followed Raymond when he went to coach at Seton LaSalle. Raymond was there as a friend and mentor when Britt's dad died unexpectly. He always looked out for her and had alot of sound advice that she took seriously. Raymond and I worked together many years for the Catholic Diocese Girls Volleyball League, and I feel that Raymond was well respected throughout the Catholic League. So respected, that 2 years ago there was a plaque that is dedicated to Raymond each year for a team to have. When I told Raymond about it all he said was "It's about time" That's Raymond! I will miss our late night calls about all of the different volleyball goings on. Mostly, I will miss our friendship. But, I have the memories to look back on and just smile. Thanks for everything. Shirley, Brittany, and Chuckie Brace

Dear Bobak Family,
There are no words to express the sorrow we feel in our hearts. Ray coached our three daughters in volleyball and more importantly, he taught them many lessons of life. He was a passionate, kind, funny man. We have so many memories, especially him jumping on the pogo stick in our backyard with Grandma Betty. He always put a smile on our faces. May the Lord's radiant face shine upon you Ray.
