Ray was a beautiful soul. He and Ronnie lived at the retirement community where I work and I always looked forward to chatting with him and hearing his jokes.
He always led the "Happy Birthday" song in the dining room at lunchtime every time there was a birthday. Birthdays have not been the same since.
Heaven gained a good one with Ray. Rest in Peace.

I work in the nursing home Ray resided at. Ray was one of a kind. He was very friendly and my god his sense of humor was priceless. He loved telling jokes. They were Dad jokes but they were so good. I ended up calling them Ray jokes. He was very well known to the staff and other residents. If you wanted to find Ray the 2 places to look before going to his room was the fire place in the living room or in the front of this set of double doors that sunlight showed through. He loved the heat and he loved the sun hitting his head. Ray was very involved in activities and he always brought liveliness. He was always the first person to show up for Mens club too. Rays absence has been very noticeable and he will be deeply missed. I loved him dearly. My deepest condolences to Tom, Sharon, Sue, Cathy and the rest of the family. May Rays memory be a blessing. May he rest in peace. Goodbye Ray. The place will be less funny without you.

Our deepest sympathy to the whole Candelario and Stockell family.Ray was truely a friend to everyone he met and always had a huge hug to give. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. I was lucky to have many a breakfast with Ray and Ronnie at Michelle's Cafe in Eureka and we always had lots of jokes to hear from Ray. He was truely a treasure.
Much love to the whole family,
Debbie and Jim Heutel
