Raymond Caron Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 18, 2025.
Raymond Armand Caron, known to his kids as Papa, completed his final rite of passage in the morning of Thursday June 12, 2025 in Melbourne, Florida at the age of 85. He passed onward to the sounds of Frank Sinatra, and did it his way. Ray was born September 21, 1939 in Central Falls, RI to Armand and Loretta Caron, and grew up alongside his sister, Beatrice "Bunny" Lavender.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Caron; his three children, Michael Caron, Jason Caron, and Amy Frankel; his seven grandchildren; and extended family Matthew and Leslie Gavin and their four children. He loved as much as his heart allowed and then some.

Ray served as the Service Manager for Attleboro Toyota, and happily and proudly made many, many not-suitable-for-work memories with his loyal staff. He was respected, well-liked, and admired. He spent many joyful summers boating around Rhode Island with family and friends.

A devout Catholic, he prayed daily and was humbly generous. Through his faith, he overcame great fears and lived boldly and fully, and often wildly. He was a presence that was felt and remembered, even if only a moment in time was spent with him.

His great return home was long and hard, but he had an angel by his side at every step in his wife, Nancy. Although his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire us to love fiercely, have faith, take risks, and have fun.

The family will scatter his ashes to the wind and the waves where his boyhood and fatherhood memories meet in August 2025 in a private ceremony.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at West Melbourne Health and Rehabilitation for all you have done.
