Mr. Daily's Family,
I did not know your father. I just happened upon his obituary, as I was looking at "Colonial's" website. I just felt lead to tell him "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE"! My late father was also a WWII vet, and I like to express my thanks to them. Hope you don't mind. My prayers go out to you, that in the days ahead you find comfort through your faith. Know that your father rests in God hands. Waiting on the day that you all will be reunited again for eternity!

Mr. Daily, it was a pleasure to have known you and you will be missed. I will think of you each time I get my bike out.

Dad was a thoughtful man. A gental giant who got his nickname "Buster" from childhood (from wearing Buster Brown shoes). He was a third generation Washingtonian, grewing up in Petsworth. "Yes in deed". Pop liked to keep in touch by email and using the Internet to get the current news. He followed football, a big Redskins' fan. We all are proud of his military service. If you asked which country he served, he would say "all of them". (North Africa, Italy, France, Hungry, Austria, Germany - I propbably missed one). Building puzzels and maintaining houseplants were his pass times, as well as history. He was good with figures and liked to calculate how many days, hours, mins to your next birthday, anniversary or holiday. Dad retired from DIA, Garfinkels and Sears (worked over 50 years). He was quick to pointout the proper way to wear a man's suit. He loved his red jacket or anything else red. Pop's first car was a Packard, followed by Buick, Chevrolet, Lincoln and Cadillac (liked those big American cars) and car shows. We will miss you dearly. Maggie + Sam
