To the Daschbach Family - I found Rays Obituary on-line as I was searching for my Dad’s (Donald R. Frederick) Crew members on their B-24 Liberator during WW2. My dad was the tail-gunner. I will enclose a pic of the 10 man crew. Sorry to your family for your loss. If anyone wants to know more about Rays history during the War feel free to contact me. I have some photos and have some details about Rays and my dads service - my dad passed in 2015 -God Bless Jeff Frederick PS Ray is on the bottom, second from the left and my dad is at the bottom all the way to the right ! Dear Jim & Siblings;

This is sent to you as I thought you might remember me. I worked at Marshall Elevator Company as your father's secretary and friend from 1958 to 1972, and then as his secretary in his own stairway elevator business.

After retirement, Ray and I stayed in touch for many many years with holiday cards and letters. The last I saw your dad was at your mom's funeral. Somehow, over the last few years, or too many years, we lost touch.

The last cards I sent to him at 1926 Pauline Ave. were never returned to me. I'm assuming that maybe he was in a nursing home.

I sincerely hope his last years in life were not bad. I wish now that I had tried to find out why he had not been in touch. What I do know is that your dad truly loved your mom, you children, and his church and faith.

I would've been at the viewing, but it was so like your dad not to want it and I surely hope that there is a poker table in heaven. Your dad loved playing poker in Las Vegas.

God bless your families and give Ray his heavenly reward.

Sincere Sympathy,
Mary Jane Mackay

My condolences to the family. Claire and I were two peas in a pod growing up and I spent many sleep overs with Claire. I have many memories of you all. It was by weird circumstances that I saw this obituary. Must have been meant for me to see this. It has been several years since I saw you Claire but I think of you often. Please email me at [email protected].

To the Daschbach family especially Patty and Jimmy. My most heart-felt condolences to you. Your family was always well known to the Point Breeze community.

Patty, we had a great time at St. Bede! The last time I saw you was on Walnut Ave in Shadyside simply by coincidence. Catch up if you like. [email protected]

I sat with Ray at St. Francis Hospital when I worked there in 1980 I believe. He did not know me but that was OK. He called my father on occasion.

Again, my prayers continue to be with you like ray, Tommy, your mother, and now your father.
