RAYMOND
On Monday, March 26, 2018, Raymond, age 71, of Ingram. Beloved husband of Karen (Wolfe) DeVries; loving father of Tracy (Tony Bahou) DeVries, Naomi (Mark) Pomerantz, and Michael DeVries; and stepfather of Joe Cheeks, John (Sandy Boggs) Elion, Jeanne McMullen, Jenni (Will Woltz) Elion, and the late Marlo Cheeks; dear grandfather of Dustin Cheeks, Joseph Eyerman, Joey Cheeks, Wolf Pomerantz and Sammy Pomerantz; brother of Norm (Verna), Paul (Bonnie), and the late Glen DeVries; and many nieces and nephews and extended family. He will be remembered for his contributions to the arts in Pittsburgh, in particular his distinctive voice and the many years he performed in choirs and on stage throughout the city. Friends received at the HERSHBERGER - STOVER, INC., FUNERAL HOME, 170 Noble Avenue, Crafton, on Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where Funeral Service will be on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. If desired, memorials may be made to Bach Choir of Pittsburgh, 1108 S. Braddock Ave., Suite 1A, Pittsburgh, PA 15218, or The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, 600 Penn Avenue, Heinz Hall, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Ray was really a great person and I am so glad I was able to know him for many years singing in Choir at CUMC. He had such a great voice .
I was very saddened to see and hear the news. May you know Ray is now resting in the Lord's arms and singing with the Heavenly Angel Choir. My sympathy goes out to Karen and Kids. May the Lord give you all strength and Peace during your time of grief and sorrow, through the weeks, Months and years to come.
