Raymond J. Dotchin

Raymond J. Dotchin, age 90, of Everett, WA passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 in the comfort of his home with his family at his side. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 26, 1921.
Ray proudly served his country in the US Air Force during World War ll and upon returning home was stationed at McCord Air Base, WA where he met Evelyn, whom he married on April, 12, 1946.
Ray returned to Pittsburgh to attend college at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1950.
Ray found a career he loved working for the YMCA. Starting off in Everett, WA and then moving to Aberdeen, WA. Ray worked 17 years for the YMCA.
In his retirement Ray enjoyed traveling the country with his wife, Evelyn and spending time with his family telling stories of a life well lived.
Ray is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Don; daughter, Janet; his grandchildren, Tyler and Suzanne; his great-granddaughter, Molly; and brothers, Elmer and Ted.
At his request no service will be held.

Thank you all for leaving your memories of my Father. As stated in the obituary there will be no service held due to his wishes. If you would like to come and pay your repects to him he will be at the Evergreen Cemetary at 4504 Broadway Everett,WA. Tier B Niche 12 Morning Light. It is the wall on the hill above the office. We should have him there by the end of the week. Again Thank You All.

My Father was the best man I ever had the pleasure to know. He was always there when needed with a kind word and a bit of advise. He is with God now. And is probably telling Him a few stories. I will miss him until we meet again.
