Raymond GERDES Obituary
December 28, 1927 - November 21, 2013
Raymond "Ray" Gerdes, 85, passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, November 21 after a complicated hospital stay and an underlying struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Memories of Ray will be cherished by his wife Vivian; daughter Jan (Murray Rydman); grandchildren, Jenna and Jordan Rydman; brothers Gordon (Joan) and Harold (Marjorie), sister Velma Trickey; as well as many nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his brother Norman (Ruth) and brother-in-law Joseph Trickey. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary, 201, 222 - 58 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2S3, or to a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Ray's Life will be held in the Chapel of Eden Brook Funeral Home on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.edenbrookcemetery.ca. Arrangements entrusted to EDEN BROOK FUNERAL HOME and RECEPTION CENTRE, 24223 Township Road 242, Calgary, AB (17 Avenue S.W. and Lower Springbank Road).
