Raymond "Rolling Ray" Harper

Raymond Harper-known to hundreds of thousands online as "Rolling Ray," the self-proclaimed "most famous boy inna wheelchair"-died in September 2025 at the age of 28.

Based in Washington, D.C., Harper became a breakout internet figure thanks to his big laugh, bigger one-liners, and a signature slang-"purr/purrr"-that spread across social media. He first drew wide notice in 2018 on MTV's "Catfish: Trolls" and later went viral for an appearance on "Divorce Court." He went on to co-create and star alongside Bobby Lytes in the Zeus Network reality series "Bobby I Love You, Purrr" and appeared on the confrontation series "The Conversation."

Zeus Network paid tribute to Harper as a "BIG-hearted" friend and star in a statement shared on Instagram, while friends, fans, and celebrities-including Cardi B-posted remembrances. "Rolling Ray was a menace… but he changed soo much and became so positive," Cardi B wrote in a message widely circulated after the news broke.

Harper spoke openly about his health challenges and life as a wheelchair user. In recent years he shared that he had survived severe burns from a 2021 accident, a bout with COVID-19, and multiple hospitalizations for pneumonia; in August 2024 he told followers he battled a serious blood infection as well. Even in hardship his voice stayed unmistakable-by turns funny, defiant, and encouraging to fans who found strength in his resilience.

A fixture of D.C.'s online culture, Rolling Ray cultivated a following for his unapologetic humor and for turning a viral moment into a sustained creative career. Clips from his TV appearances and his catchphrases-"purr," "you're not that girl," and more-circulated widely, shaping the lexicon of a corner of internet culture that valued flamboyance, shade, and sincerity in equal measure.
