Dearest Melva,
Ray is at peace and painfree. May the Lord be with you and your family during this time. My family will be praying for you all. The kids were sad to hear of Ray's passing and want you to know they will pray for you too.
His laugh, his sense of humour (his emails), his generosity, his love of life, regardless if the car started or not, his sense of adventure, his complete devotion to you... these are things we will remember.
You both hold a special place in my family's heart.
Keep in touch. If you need anything, just call.
Love,
Sandi, Jamie, Sami and Ethan

Sorry to hear about Ray. He will be in our thoughts whenever we see a white Bugeye'd Sprite. From your friends at the ECSCC.

I will miss Ray . He & I shared an affinity towards big men in little cars. We both drive Austin-Healey (Bug-eye) Sprites. I'll think of you Ray the next time I drive my Bugeye.

Melva
We had hoped to stop by this July when the club was heading to Saskatoon for a car show. I guess it was not to be. I will miss Ray and his emails and comments to me when we'd get together. Take care of yourself. You are included in our thoughts and prayers. And Ray will join those remembered at our Christmas Toast to those out on the Open Road.

Melva:
Dee and I were so sorry when we heard that Ray had crossed the finish line in life's last great rally.
When I first met Ray I wondered who this guy was in a well-worn Bug-eye Sprite. To get the answer to that question only took following the two of you through the first corner of our Edmonton Classic Sports Car Club run – he was a rally driver extraordinaire. The sound of his little Sprite as he heel-and-toed a down-shift, took the corner in a deceptively smooth perfect line, and then exited with a full-power up-shift to third was a concerto of sweat music that echoed back to Dee and I as we followed in our Tiger.
“That chap is a master driver,” I said to Dee “what a great addition to our Club!” He was both of those things and more - he was our friend. We will miss him.

I will miss his infectious laugh - and still have vivid memories of him in that sports car! My thoughts and best wishes are with you all. I hope you get this long-distance hug Auntie Melva.

Mrs. Hossay, I am so very sorry to hear that Mr. Hossay passed away. The two of you were a big part of my parents' lives, and I'm sure that Mom & Dad are enjoying a joke or 2 from Ray, and a great chat about British sports cars right now.
You and your family are in my thoughts an prayers.
