My deepest condolences to the LaRocque family.
I feel there are no words and yet I have so much I want to share.
To know Dr and Mrs Larocque you couldn't help but learn the true meaning of love and family!
Mike and I were fortunate enough to meet Dr and Mrs LaRocque in 1995 and they welcomed us in as friends.
When Mrs LaRocque heard that Mike did construction work she trusted us to go to the cottage and redo their master bedroom. That was the beginning of many trips to the cottage.
Mike anxiously waited for a phone call from Dr LaRocque every spring asking if we could go do some work at the cottage. We would take our boat (yes even in April) and make it a work and mini holiday week or 2.
This is where we learned to fish for Salmon and Mike caught his first and biggest one there.
When we got back home, we would visit Dr and Mrs LaRocque and he would pour some wine and we would fill them in about what we got done at the cottage. Once they were all up to date about the cottage and all our fishing excursions the conversation would turn to earlier years of his childhood when he went to medical school and then married Mrs LaRocque and starting a family. I especially loved how he told the story about when he learned to drive and getting his drivers Licence. He could hardly tell it he was laughing so hard.
Every visit we heard the same stories and we loved every minute! It was our special spring ritual.
The love and passion for family was so strong you couldn't help but feel it!
I am very fortunate to have gotten to know such a caring, loving and compassionate man. Dr and Mrs LaRocque made an impact on my life and and so many others. To know them was to love them!
Dr LaRocque will truly be missed by so many.
Heaven gained 2 very special Angels, first with Mrs LaRocque and now joined once again with her loving husband.

The family of Frank & Marie Foster extend their deepest sympathies to the Larocque family. With 7 children of their own, Frank and Marie were faced with numerous health issues as the children grew up. Some required hospital care, others a trip to Dr. Larocque's office. There were days where Dr. Larocque earned the triple crown - caring for one of my sisters at Hotel Dieu, at 11 pm; stopping by our home at 1368 Gladstone, at 7 am, to check on my inner ear problem and then removing stitches from another sister at his office, at 2 pm. My parents found great comfort in knowing that Dr. Larocque was the family Doctor. On behalf of all of us, thank you to a very caring man. To the family, please know that his range of influence and care, is much bigger than you can ever imagine.

At first we were a little intimidated to meet this large family,however from day one we were met by a warm down to earth family led by Dr. Larocque. What a wonderful man who welcomed my brother and my parents with open arms and was genuine and kind. We will also remember him for his love of his family and lest we forget his bowties! Dr. Larocque was our family doctor and friend. He was a great doctor and a better man. I have fond memories of the famous bridge games at our house that he would have to leave on occasion to make an emergency house call. I will never forget what he said to me during one my first visits to his office. I was a young boy, and he was about to give me a needle for an inoculation. A little apprehensive, I asked him if it would hurt, and he replied, "This is going to hurt you more than it is going to hurt me!" He had a great sense of humour too!

Dear Laroque family: Ray and his lovely wife Jeannette were great friends. He was my Dr for many years and brought 3 of my 4 children into the world. It seemed that whenever I was pregnant Jeanette was or had been. Jeanne and Steve were more visible when we were all at St Anne's and Paul and I worked together teaching the Confirmation group. I looked forward to seeing him from time to time at Guadalupe or Prescious Blood and have missed him and Steve and Jeanne in the last few years. My heartfelt condolences and prayers are with you all. He brought my oldest daughter Michelle into this world, was always kind, considerate & will always be remembered by us for his sense of humor.
