Raymond Franklin Lilley, age 75, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on March 10, 2024 in Waldorf, Maryland. He was born on April 29, 1948, in Cheverly, Maryland. Raymond served in the Army from 1968 to 1971 and later pursued a career as a Computer Programer at the Goddard Space Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. He then worked as a Maintenance Engineer for the Prince Georges County Department of Education where he retired in 2004.

Raymond was known for his kindness, generosity of time, and hardworking nature. He enjoyed spending time in the garden, cutting the grass, and solving puzzles. He was a loving family man who was always there to help anyone in need. Raymond also cherished looking at pictures and playing cards in his free time.

Raymond will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Linda E. Lilley, his children Robert C. Lilley (Lisa), Jennifer M. Osborn (Brian), Deborah A. Keeton (Kenneth), and Laura C. Hardnett. His grandchildren Haley (Kaleb), Austin, Christian, Kelsi (Sean), Jackson, Jayden, Logan, Gavin, Landyn, Nicholas, Peyton, Matthew, LilyAnna, Benjamin, and Everleigh. He is also survived by his siblings, Ralph E. Lilley (Nancy), Norman J. Lilley (Connie), Joyce A. McKay (Fred), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Lilley and Irene M. Lilley, and siblings, Roland, Charles, William, Earl, and Carol.

A Memorial Talk to honor Raymond's life will be held on March 23, 2024, at 1:00 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Hughesville, MD, followed by a Repass at the American Legion Post 238 and a private burial. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Heaven Bound Crematory in White Plains, MD.

Flowers and Cards are being received at 3455 Mill Hill Rd. Waldorf MD 20603.

Raymond Lilley will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hard work, and his unwavering love for those around him.

We played cards, dominoes, went out to dinner, went to assemblies and conventions, took walks. He was always willing to do things together at the last minute. He had a good sense of humor, was such a patient, kind person, was so humble and took everything in stride.
