Raymond is preceded in death by His Father, Raymond Scott Mathis Sr, and survived by His loving Mother and Step Father, Tina And Steve Keavy, His daughter, Autumn Mathis, His sister's, Crystal Mathis, Melissa Rather, Brandi Minton, and Teri Tomlinson, His many Nieces and Nephews, as well as the mass of people, He called family.
Raymond worked for Old Dominion Insulation for many years and was loved and cared for by so many that had the honor of knowing Him... A small service will be held, for close family and friends to pay their last respects, at a later date due to Covid, and will notify everyone via social media. Any donations in Lieu of flowers, can be made directly to Faith Baptist Church 5501 Middle Rd, Prince George, Va. 23875, as this will be the location for His Memorial Service.

I would like to say how deeply sorry I am to Raymond´s family, who he deeply loved and cherished. Raymond and I spent many hours together in NOVA when Emily had her terrible accident. He lovingly nursed her back to health and I will never forget the young man who I quickly grew to love. He made us laugh when there wasn´t a whole lot of positive things happening. Teagan is taking it hard as well. You won´t be forgotten.

I´ll never forget growing up with Raymond. He was another brother to me and John "Lil John". He was another son to my mother Betsy. The late nights of watching movies, playing pool, playing video games, and having a few beers. He always had the best stories and jokes. Raymond was always a beam of sunshine and happy. With a smile on his face he could warm up a room any time he was there. You were and continue to be loved Raymond. Rest now my friend.
