GRANVILLE: A memorial service, celebrating the life of Raymond A. McKenna, age 86, of Granville, will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 107 E. Broadway, Granville, with Deacon Mary Raysa officiating.

Raymond was born in Walpole, Massachusetts on July 27, 1931 to the late Arthur Raymond and Dorothy (Cobb) McKenna. He passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on September 27, 2017.

Prior to retirement, Raymond was manager of the Denison University book store for over 36 years. He was a lifelong supporter of the Democratic Party and was past vice-chair of the Licking County Democratic Party.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Marilyn "Lyn" (Hardy) McKenna, whom he married November 10, 1952; four sons, Robert (Debbie) McKenna, Alan (Debi) McKenna, David (Jan) McKenna and Evan (Bonnie) McKenna; daughter-in-law, Carol McKenna; two sisters, Dorothy "Dotsie" Kehoe and Eleanor "Ellie" White; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Geoffrey; and one granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Raymond to the Licking County Democratic Party, 2054 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
