Ray was such an amazing and wonderful person. A highlight of my time house and dog sitting for Suzy and Jim was sitting and talking with Ray on his porch. He would talk about his many life experiences. We would talk about the problems of the world and our solutions to solve them. Of course no one else listened to us but we were satisfied with our efforts. He often talked about Ruthie, Ray Jr, and Vicki. I know he missed them but loved living in Hawaii. I was amazed at what Ray had done to improve his property.
I am glad that three of my children and two of my grandchildren were able to meet and spend time with Ray. He was an interesting, caring and thoughtful man. I will miss the talks and occasional text. But I am happy that he is with his beloved Ruthie.
