He was the husband of Ann A. (Saurini) Miles, whom he married on Oct. 1, 1955 in St. John the Baptist Church in New York.
Mr. Miles was born in Philadelphia on Sept. 29, 1929, the son of the late Edward and Katherine Callahan Miles. He attended Philadelphia schools and graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College.
Mr. Miles served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Mass.
Prior to retiring in 1986, he was employed for 36 years as a financial analyst for the U.S. Government.
Mr. Miles was a member of St. Paul's Church in Rome, and was a life member of the Chelmsford Elks Lodge.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and their wives, Bruce and Melanie Miles of Chicago, and Kenneth and Denise Miles of Cary, N.C.; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Daniel, James Robert and Elizabeth Miles; three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Frank Taverna and Rita and Frank Squillace, all of Cape Coral, Fla., and Dolores and Henry Coia of Rome; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
