Laura,
My condolences to you and your family. Ray was hilarious with his dry wit. Working with him at DSS on fraud cases was a highlight. I appreciated his knowledge and passion to find truth. He was missed when he retired and we still speak of him and laugh. He will be missed. Peace be still. My prayers to you.

Laura, At this difficult time may you see God's love in the faces of family and friends. We enjoyed many years of LSU baseball games with our dear friends ( Laura and Ray ) sitting close to us in Alex Box Stadium. Know that God's love is a caring and lasting love.

Laura,
This news has just made my heart and soul cry. Ray was always my biggest supporter in my work career with the state. He always encouraged me to be the best I could be and said such wonderful things in references I asked him to submit on my behalf. I wish I had just one more time to tell him "Thank you for all your influence in my life". It was a sad day for me on many levels when I had to leave Fraud and Recovery.
I also remember the talks and laughs you and I shared when I first met you when we all moved into the Iberville Building.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Gone way to early. I enjoyed working with 'Ray' in my tenure with the state. Did not realize we were at SLU at the same time. Prayers for the family.
June 24, 2019
From the extended family of Nybergs (very extended), I want to thank Jerry for including all of us into the Pease family for over 50 years. From my daughter's fear of ovens (to this day), to early morning paper routes,to things best left unmentioned, to welcoming all of us to the Christmas Eve gatherings,. You have been a brother, uncle & much more to 3 generations of our family.
What you & Laura have done for Suzi & I years ago can never be forgotten.
Tell Ray & Dootsie hello for all of us.
God give Laura Grace & Peace as she goes forward in life without her best friend.
God Bless,.
Don

A truly great friend and neighbor. Ray was meant to be a service to others. He wanted to help others while pushing back if he thought he might need help. Walking NOLA in the morning was an opportunity to engage with his neighbors and catching up on things. We will attempt to continue your legacy.
Miss you greatly my friend.

My Dear Laura and all of my extended family,
It is with great sorrow that I am writing to you all this day.
I have so many fond memories of Jerry.
I first had the pleasure of meeting Jerry and all of the family with Ken many years prior when the southern Pease family had a camping trip to Groton State Forest and the racoons ate all the fish that Jim & Jerry caught and left in the lake overnight!
It was love at first sight for me and I embraced this family as part of mine! I never laughed so much and continued to laugh whenever we had the opportunity to meet again or just talk on the phone. Jerry was so thoughtful of Justin, Ken and my Grandson. Justin did have the opportunity to meet Jerry and was totally taken with him and so enjoyed speaking with him on the phone from time to time.
Jerry will be greatly missed but will always have a place in my heart.
Laura, please remember that Jerry will only be a memory away, treasure them all!
I am sending to you all my love and my deepest sympathies

Keith and I are so deeply saddened over the loss of your dear Ray. It was always such a delight to talk to him about LSU sports and our shared Cajun memories. Please know that you are in our prayers to have strength and peach through the coming weeks and months. Hoping that all of the love and care from your neighbors and family will sustain you. All of those cul de sac rugrats will miss him but I am sure they will shower you with much needed hugs when you need them.

My heart and breath stopped when I heard the news. Among my first thoughts were of you and the heavy burden and sorrow you will bear if only for a while. I learned so much from Ray, over the course of our career, but even more about his commitment to honored values Because of this and the dear friendship we shared, I know that he will remain in my heart and will be a continuing influence, for the remainder of my life. Bonita and I are so sorry for your loss; so please don'sitate to call, even just to talk.
