I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Penrose. He was always so kind and welcoming to everyone. I remember visiting him with some of my sisters a few years ago and he was trying to place which sister was from what year at Woodland High School. When I told him I was in the same year as Craig, he threw up his arms in the air and yelled " Go Wolves!" One of my sisters were able to capture that moment in a photo that I am including.

My thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr. Penrose. Rest easy, sir.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Penrose. I have fond memories of going to Henigan and Shull to get PE clothes and athletic wear with such warm welcoming from Mr. Penrose. He was a true gentleman and served the community with knowledge and grace. I had the pleasure of visiting him a few times, a few years ago at St. John's with my sisters Karen, Chris and my Mom when she was in Stollwood recovering. It was a lovely visit. He had that same smile and genuine welcoming spirit that I will always remember. Rest In Peace Mr. Penrose. My deepest condolences to the family.

Hello Paula and Family,
A note to express sympathy regarding the passing of your father. I have many positive memories visiting him at the store and asking his advice on some piece of athletic equipment. He was always very friendly and made sure I was able to purchase the piece of equipment that I needed. Sometimes I just visited the store to just look at all the nice items they had on sale. Your grandparents were our neighbors on Elm Street and they had to have lots of patience with the "rowdy" children next door. You can rest assured that your father and parents raise an excellent family. I am sure that you are just as proud of them as they are of you.

Mr. Penrose was a very good man, a good neighbor and a very thoughtful man. Although I have not seen the family in years, I remember him and the family well.

Rest in Peace

Psalms 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years. May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

When I first met Ray at his sporting goods store to buy football equipment he treated me like he had known me all my life. When Craig and I would go to Craigs house after practice he and Ginie greated me like family. That is what Ray made everyone feel, just like family. What a great man, friend, community leader, husband, father and a man that led others by example. You will be missed Ray Penrise, you will be missed!

Ray was a good man and was dedicated to youth sports.
I first met Ray when I was in high school and umpired the softball games he coached for his daughter. Years later, I had the privilege of working with him on the Sports Boosters Board. Lots of young people owe their first mitt to his generosity. There were few sporting events that he and Ginny missed. They were always supportive of me and my family. Thank you Ray........ and Ginny.

Dear Family of Ray Penrose, We are so sorry for your loss. I had the opportunity to meet Ray at the coffee meetings at Donut Star when I took my Dad, Darrel Hayes. Ray was a quiet friendly sort and seemed to enjoy the meetings. He will be remembered for all his help in the community and the many friendships. May he rest in peace.
