Raymond Thomas Renner

January 16,1949 - July 30, 2025

Raymond Thomas Renner, age 76, of Ramsey, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family after a long battle with heart complications.

Ray was born on January 16, 1949, in Minneapolis, MN. He Graduated from Benilde High School in 1967 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Mathematics from St. Cloud State University.

As a fourth-generation leader of the family-owned water well drilling business, E.H. Renner & Sons, Ray devoted an impressive 64 years of his life to the company's success. Director and Umpire for ARAA. Owner of HealthQuest Athletic Club in Ramsey MN. Member of the Knight of Columbus, Minnesota Water Well Association and National Ground Water Association.

Ray possessed a remarkable ability to uplift those around him through his cheerful demeanor and steadfast optimism. He was always eager to offer assistance, and his compassionate nature and diligent work ethic profoundly impacted everyone he encountered.

He cherished his time with family and friends above all else, and his enthusiasm for the outdoors was evident in his love for operating a backhoe, splitting wood, hunting, sailing, skiing, and riding ATVs. Ray's zest for life truly reflected his deep connections with loved ones and nature.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Emeline "Kitty" Renner. He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Barbara Renner; his daughters, Kathrynn (Steven) Welle and Mellissa (Dean) Lunderberg; Barbara's children, Jacob Hase (Erin Prest), Joshua (Jessica) Hase, and Candace Hase; his sister, Rita (David) Rowe; his identical twin brother, Roger (Terri) Renner; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Ray's life will be celebrated at St. Stephens Catholic Church: 525 Jackson St. Anoka MN, 55303.

A 10:00am Memorial Service and Rosary will precede the mass at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 11, 2025. A luncheon and burial will follow. Flowers may be delivered to the church.

Ray will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and his ability to bring people together. His legacy of kindness and joy will live on in all who knew and loved him.
