MERIDEN - Raymond A. Robb, 73, of Meriden, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at his home. He was a longtime companion of Patricia Torchia.

Born on Oct. 27, 1938, in Reading, Pa., he was the son of the late Alexander and Susan Robb. He had resided in Meriden for most of his life. He was an avid fisherman and spent much time with his friends at Black Pond and fishing with his grandson, Michael.

He is survived by three sons, Raymond, Michael and David Robb; five grandchildren, Michael Austin Robb, the light of his life, Samantha, Jason, Kayla and Chris; three sisters, Martha, Vanessa and Vivian; his companion's three sons, John and Jan Torchia, Joseph and Shawn Torchia, and Michael and Kristen Torchia and their children. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Robb.

Friends and relatives may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden on Friday (TODAY), from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be private. For online condolences please visit www.jferryfh.com
