dear Sloane family,

I was so sorry to read of both Ray and Anne's passing and so recently.
We were girl friends on 86th st. from when we were very young.
When we were teens and dating we had so much fun.. Anne was my maid of honor and I was her bridesmaid
We went our separate ways when ray entered the Navy and They were great friends with the Fognoli's,and the codey's. They were my neighbors in Speculator n.y.for over 30 years. They are both deceased now, and their children sue, michael, brian and Patty are now my next door neighbors in the Adirondacks. My sister in law Kathleen was Mary,s sister. So we all where in Woodhaven at the same time. My maiden name was Schimoler, and I lived in the last house before 91st ave.
I never got to visit them in Florida but we always where in touch with Christmas cards and lately by e mail.
I tried to get in touch but could never find out where they were in Pa.
That was the latest I heard from Ray in late 2012.I new they went to Pa. and Anne was in rehab, after that I didn't know what happened to them. I didn't hear the your Dad was ill.
The summer of2012 until Sept. I didn't
have email up in Spec.
I checked information a few months ago but there was no telephone number.
Today, I checked for Sloane in Pa. and
got results.

Again I am so sorry for the loss of both your parents and I think of them fondly all the time.

With sadness and prayers,

Carol Schimoler Turri

My wife Juel Anne and I were sorry to hear the news of Rays passing and also of the recent passing of his wife Anne. Ray and I were golfing partners for 13 years when we lived in our winter home in Pine Lakes Florida. Our most memorable golfing moment was the year that Ray and I combined to win the Prestige Pine Lakes Country Club Member-Member Championship event - made possible by Ray shooting a birdie on the last hole! We have so many great memories of the times that we shared with the Sloanes during the years that we wintered in Pine Lakes. They were wonderful friends and neighbours. We extend our sincere sympathy to all of the Sloane family. Ray and Anne were so proud of you all.
