Alan Cooper

Mr Alan George Cooper, aged 83, of Wright Street, North Anston, was cremated at Rotherham Crematorium, on 14th December 2016, following a service in the chapel.
Born at Hodthorpe and a resident of North Anston for 55 years, he worked for 15 years on the railway as a gang leader, then ten years at Shireoaks Colliery in Washer, he had been retired for the last 30 years.
In his youngers years he kept Pigeons, Canaries and Koi Carp, he loved Greyhound racing and horse racing, often visiting Southwell and Owlerton stadiums.
Alan who passed away at home, on 6th December 2016, leaves his wife Joyce, sons Stephen and Kevin, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Floral tributes were from Mrs Joyce Cooper, Mr Stephen Cooper, Mrs Alma Cooper, Mr Kevin Cooper, Mrs Andrea Cooper, Mr and Mrs S. Cooper, Mr and Mrs D. Cooper, Mrs Jean Marshall. Donations received in lieu of flowers were for the British Heart Foundation.
The service was conducted by Mr John Waller and arrangements were by Co-operative Funeralcare, Worksop.
