Raymond Teague Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 26, 2012.
Raymond Cliff Teague, 48, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September, 29, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan
Chapel. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 in the evening on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the funeral home.

Raymond was born on May 20, 1964 in Hampton, Virginia to Thurman and Theresa Teague.
He graduated from Hirschi High School and after graduating he began his career in telecommunications. Ray was a believer in the Lord and held tight to his faith. He loved playing and watching sports, his favorites were the Texas Longhorns, Texas Rangers and the Dallas Mavericks. Ray also enjoyed playing pool on his pool league and that was one of his favorite things to do on the weekends as well as refurbishing computers. He was a loving, giving, caring, faithful and a very selfless person. One of the things Ray was most proud of were the birth of his two children and he loved spending time with all of his children and grandchildren. His favorite prayer was the Footprints with Jesus Prayer and he loved the saying be faithful and true to those you love and keep your faith in the Lord.

Ray was preceded in death by his father Thurman Cliff Teague.

He is survived by his mother, Theresa Teague; sister, Kathi Teague King; son, Trevor Cliff Teague; daughters, Kelly Rae Teague, Ashleigh Simmons, Julie Simmons, Lesleigh Simmons; niece, Jennifer King Johnston; 7 grandchildren and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

To Mom, Kathi, Trevor, Kelly, Lesleigh, Julie, Ashleigh, Jennifer, Lisa and each of their family members: I wanted to submit this Saturday night, but did not get back to Spearman til Sunday after 11pm. This touched me and I hope it touches each of you. ***I worry about you...at the end of the day do you allow yourself time to grieve too? I am hoping with all hope that you live your life knowing everything that happens, happens for a reason, a reason that we may never know, at least not til we get to heaven AND that prayers are answered by not our will, but God's will. When I give the power to Him it doesn't make any more or less sense, it is just easier because something bigger is in control of an out of control situation. What ever "it" is give it to God, He will be up all night anyways. Sleep peacefully, this day is done and tomorrow is the promise of a new one. Love you!*** Ray was like a brother to me and I consider each and every one of you part of my family. Go play a game of pool in honor of Ray. God bless and take care of each other. May Ray rest in peace til it is our time to join him!!! Love to all, Kayleen

You were taken so sudden. Just a few weeks ago we were talking about the time you picked me and mom up from the airport when we came back from Germany. You wanted to take us out to a nice steak dinner. All I wanted was Taco Bell. You took me to Taco Bell. If I needed something you would have been there to help. There is a reason you were taken but we may never know. What we do know is you are out of pain and in a better place. Uncle Ray I love you and will miss you always!

I'm so sorry that your family is having to go through such a sad time. To all the children I know this is a very hard time for you all, cling close to the family you have around you! It's not easy losing your father at such an early age, although I know he was in pain and God ended his suffering. Children live your life well, so that your father can be proud of all the things you do. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALL AT SUCH A DIFFICULT TIME.

Ray you will be very missed. I still have daily memories of me and Les growing up and you having to help us. My favorite one is when the cops had to call you because we were at a party(not drinking) and they called you to make sure it was ok we drove and that you knew where we were so late at night. That is just one of many memories. You will be very missed.. But we all know you are looking down on us all and you are still keeping a close eye on us. My deapest sympathy to the whole family, I know you all lost a wonderful man, but he is in a good place now and in NO pain... Love you
