I remember....
Dad getting up in the middle of the night to give me NyQuil because I was sick (yuk!)
When he lathered up for a shave, he would chase me around the house to slime me with the shaving cream.
Teaching me how to drive his old pickup truck out in the field of the Hornecker farm.
One day we went out to the field to do a little target shooting... he spotted a barn swallow sitting on a fence post, pointed it out to me and handed me his pistol. The bird took off and I shot it out of the air. From then on, he called me Annie Oakley.
He loved to have fun with family and friends, which is an understatement. He took us to Sizzler every Friday night, the stockcar races, fishing, camping, bowling, airplane and boat shows, dunebuggy, ATV and off-road motorcycle riding, waterskiing, carnivals and amusement parks. He even took us shopping for clothes (everything he picked out was purple).
I know he's with Mom and Rayme now, and that's exactly where he wants to be. He loved them with all of his heart and was truly lost without them.

Some of my foundest memories with Dad include:
- going to the car races,
- watching him work on the race cars,
- Friday night family dinners,
- getting in the car and him driving us someplace where we've never been before,
- watching him play with the grandkids,
- calling him on the phone to say "hi bubba,"
- talking with him about our dreams and what we'd do when we win the lottery.
