Rebecca "Becky" Goneke Obituary
Becky was a member of East Brent Baptist Church. She worked in customer service at Grocery Advantage where work was not a job, but visiting with people was what she really enjoyed. She loved mystery novels, her beloved cats and dogs. Her greatest love was her family, her grandchildren being the sunshine of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 41 years, Lewis Fredrick "Freddy" Goneke; her son, Shane (Amanda) Goneke; her daughter Shannon Casey; her grandchildren, Austin, Jayde and Gaven Goneke, all of Pensacola, FL; her brother, Sam (Sherry) Davis; her sister, Gwen (Marc) Grimes, all of Walnut Hill, FL; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Bill Menges of Pensacola, FL; a special aunt, Francine Gomillion of Pensacola, FL; special nephew Jessie Grimes; her dear friend, Billie Parriman of Robertsdale, AL; and many furbaby cats and dogs.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 4 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 PM until the service hour.
Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

I attended high school with Becky and just recently reconnected through Facebook. Her passing was such a shock.I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Mom, It still don't feel real. I'm going to miss you dearly. Although the pain is real. You'll always be the best Mom any man could've asked for. I was truly blessed to have had the time I got with you. Although I pictured you being here forever. I'm going to miss our late night talks on the phone when you would call needing to vent about anything. Your were best friend and could rely on you for anything. We still had so much to do. That's why I'm so confused. It makes it a little easier to know your in Heaven watching over all us now. Thank you for teaching me how to be a man. I'll see you again. You'll be missed nana how you use to just come over and crack jokes.. you made everyone laugh... I loved coming down to your house bc you lived not but only 5 seconds down the road.. you would always be sitting in that chair when I come in and say hey babe... To my Sister Becky, the loss of you I can't explain right now. You were more than a Sister you were my friend, sounding board, confidant and silly partner on some occasions when we would go shopping together laughing at the dumb stuff I did in the stores sometimes. I just can't believe you are gone, but I know you are with our Lord and Savior and with Momma and Daddy and Granny you will be watching us from Heaven with them.
