Rebecca was one of the nicest people I ever met. She was a wonderful teacher and we had fun dancing way back before she was married. I'm so glad she met her dear husband and had two lovely daughters. Being a family was her dream.

Hi,
My name is Donna McCurdy. I offer you my deepest condolences on her death. I was so very, very sad to learn of Rebecca's passing. I worked at Farallone View while she was teaching. She always had such a bright, warm smile. She was very vibrant, and upbeat. She was a delightful addition to the staff. I know her students loved her.
When I participate in Relay for LIfe this summer, she will be at the top of my list of people to memorialize.
With deepest sympathies,
Donna McCurdy

Dearest Goodell and Johnson Families,

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful Becca. So sorry that I will be missing the celebration of her life. It occurs about two weeks before I fly to CA. I hope to visit you all over the summer. I am glad that Mom and Dad and Curt will represent our family at the memorial.

Furthermore, I wanted to share a stanza below from a poem by Maya Angelo that speaks to the loss of a special soul and the mark she left.

With love,

Gwen

"When Great Trees Fall"

And when great souls die,
after a period, peace blooms,
slowly and always
irregularly. Spaces fill
with a kind of
soothing electric vibration.
Our senses, restored, never
to be the same, whisper to us.
They existed. They existed.
We can be. Be and be
better. For they existed.
