PEKIN ~ Rebecca Gay “Becky” Ippolito, 57, of Pekin, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017 at her home.
Born February 22, 1960 in Springfield to Jack L. and Jacquelyn M. (Woolsey) Kelly, she married Mark Edward Ippolito, Sr. on December 29, 1984 in Springfield. He survives.
Also surviving are four children, Aaron (Martina) Sidles of Pekin, Wendy (Dusty Icide) Ippolito of Thayer, Samuel Ippolito of Tremont, and Mark (Molly) Ippolito, Jr. of Marquette Heights; two grandchildren, Mekhi Sidles and Amarian Sidles; one great-grandson, Caid Shellstrom; her parents, Jack and Jacquelyn Kelly of Petersburg; and one sister, Sherri (James) Garrett of Petersburg.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Ethellyn Kanowski, and Geneva Woolsey along with in laws June and James Ippolito
Becky had worked at the Office of the Illinois Secretary of State in Springfield as a secretary for several years. She later worked for the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation as a Personal Home Health Care Aide in the Belleville area for several years.
Becky enjoyed motorcycle rides and music. Her greatest joy was being with her family especially her children and grandchildren. She loved to be the “family nanny”.
A gathering celebrating Becky’s life will be at a later date.
Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
