She was born Sept. 30, 1953 in Kittanning to Andrew and Dolores "Dee" (Ponsart) Kovatch. She was a medical lab technician at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township. She was a Catholic. A 1971 Kittanning High School graduate, she received an associate degree in medical lab technology from Penn State University in 1994. She was a lifelong area resident. Survivors include one son, Richard Barrett Miller of Kittanning; one daughter, Jessica Lynne Miller of Kittanning; her mother of Kittanning; two brothers, John Kovatch of West Kittanning and Matthew Kovatch of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. James (Susan "Savannah") Acee of Boise, Idaho, Carrie Falcon of Lacey, Wash. and Mrs. Joseph (Janet) Janovsky of Kittanning; and several number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, who died July 23, 2001. MILLER - Friends of Rebecca Lynne (Kovatch) Miller, 48, of Elsie Lane, Kittanning RD7 (North Buffalo Township), who died April 7, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Mantini Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. A Prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Kittanning with the Rev. Raphael Glinkowski, O.S.P., officiating. Interment will be in St. Francis of Paola Cemetery. Arrangements by Mantini.
