Obituary
Guest Book
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our sister Rebecca (Becky) Ann Oglesby, October 3, 2022. Becky was born October 24, 1972, in Greeley, Colorado.
Her birth parents gave her up for adoption and she was placed with a loving foster family until she was 6 years old. At that time the Oglesby family saw Becky’s picture and read her story in “A Child Waits,” a column in The Denver Post. Don and Barbara Oglesby and their three sons, Dale, Randy, and Lance decided to adopt her. Becky is survived by her mother, three brothers and their families.
Becky attended Ellis Elementary, Merrill Junior High and Thomas Jefferson High School. Becky loved music, dance and art. She also loved to travel and was able to travel around the country with her family, a host home provider, and with the Wayfaring Band, a travel organization that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Once an adult, Becky lived independently in her own apartment and later lived with several different host home families through Continuum of Colorado. Becky was surrounded by her devoted extended family the last few days of her life.
Becky’s life will be celebrated November 5, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Washington Park United Church of Christ, 400 South Williams St. in Denver, CO 80209.

My dearest Randy and family,
I am so crushed to hear about your sister‘s passing. My colleagues and I at The Wayfaring Band feel absolutely honored to have gotten to spend quality time with her these past few years. Her vibrance, humor, and total willingness to start a dance party at any moment will endear her memory to me forever. Please know how much she’s missed!
My deepest condolences,
Andrea Moore
