Rebecca Silver Obituary
Rebecca "Becky" Rountree Silver, 47, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2011, after a courageous two year battle with leukemia.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 24 years, Lee H. Silver; her beloved sons, Timothy Davis Silver and Nathan Benjamin Silver; her mother, Nancy Davis Rountree and father, E. Wayne Rountree.
Becky was known for her character, charity, optimism, friendship and thoughtfulness. She would want to thank all of her many friends and extended family for their support and love. A special thanks to the many fine health care professionals at Duke University, MD Anderson Cancer Center and The University of Virginia Hematology and Oncology Department. A special thanks to Dr. John Densmore, Devon Bloxsome and the entire Infusion Center Team.
A celebration of Becky's life will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the family home in Blandemar Farm at 3100 Blandemar Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
In lieu of flowers, please consider performing a random act of kindness for others.
Financial contributions should be directed to The Emily Couric Cancer Center at the University of Virginia.
