If I ever had a First Amendment question when writing my legal articles for AVN, Reed was always there with an answer. I miss him.

Reed Lee was among the lawyers making me feel welcome as a then-new member of the First Amendment Lawyers Association in 2000. His legal mind was very strong, and his generosity was expansive in talking with his colleagues about how to obtain justice for our clients. He left us too young. I will miss Reed. Deeply thanking and bowing to Reed.

I worked with Reed in Chicago in 1992 on several first amendment cases. I was amazed at his knowledge of the law, having just graduated in 1991 from law school myself. We had fun trying a few cases. I send condolences to Claudia and his family. Mary Lou Boelcke

Sincere condolences to Claudia, and all who knew Reed. He was a great mentor and storyteller, and a passionate defender of the First Amendment. It was a pleasure seeing how much Reed loved his career in that particularly challenging and rewarding area, and I will miss learning from him, his humor, and his tales from the road.

Reed Lee was an invaluable resource for me when I wrote legal-themed articles for Adult Video News. He could analyze cases and provide supplementary information for more articles than I can now count. Simply put, he was wonderful.

Claudia,
So very sorry to hear of Reed's passing. Brilliant man, who was passionate about his work and helping others. At the reunion in September, we had our usual (every reunion) talk about politics, the world and his work. He was a force.
