The Quiet Gardener
It is still hard to imagine she is gone. I keep expecting the phone to ring and hear that apologizing voice or see her come around a corner at the house from the garden. She loved her garden and we would spend hours shopping for just the right bloom to plant in the flower beds. But her frustrations with her aging and the garden pests drove her on day to creatively load the flower boxes with artificial silk flowers. The neighbors were astounded with her "instant" and remarkable green thumb. When they looked closer and saw the trickster at play they would give a sly look. But I noticed those same silk flowers pollinating all over the park in the next several months. They are still there in the flower boxes, maybe a little more faded, but I will keep watering them and remember MOM.

Dear Mom, Happy Birthday and Mothers day. I have always thought there was something very special about these two celebrations coinciding for you. It's been more than a decade since I last heard your voice or walked with you shopping. Living here in your last home the memories seem to be everywhere especially in the garden. Now it is filled even more with this shared presence of Kathy. There is so much love here along with the memories. God Bless you and thank you for starting such a beautiful family. God Bless you, I will wear a rubber band in your honor today and tomorrow. I LOVE You Happy Birthday, three more to go and you will make your hundred.....Jerry

Happy Birthday and Happy Mothers Day Grandma!!! I wish you could be here to celebrate with me and meet your two newest great grandsons. They have both enjoyed the afghan you made them, and now I enjoy it too. I hope you gave Sean the biggest rubberband you had when he joined you, grandpa and mom. Now the four of you can cause trouble together. I miss you every day. I especially miss our Sunday conversations. I think of you often, especially when I go to The Melting Pot, my favorite fondue restaurant. I know you're watching over me and had a hand in my battle with breast cancer. For that, I thank you. Please keep helping me through each day. I love you and miss you!!! XOXO

Mom Happy Birthday. You are so missed. There is not a day that I don't have thoughts of you. When I see a flower I think of seeing you working in your flower bed pulling those darn weeds. When I eat chocolate, I remember your love of Hersey's. And a can of soup, how you liked Campbell's collectables. May you continue to rest in peace and know I love you and miss you.

It's the second Christmas without mom. it does not get any easier as time goes on. Once missed, always missed. But on the good side once a good memory, always a good memory.
So as the Holidays go by with our loss, we have a life of good memories to last an eternity.
Merry Christmas Mom, Dad and Mary

MY SWEET FRIEND REGINA,
MAYBE NOW YOU CAN REST IN PEACE IN THE KNOWLEGE THAT YOUR SON , TONY, IS NOW IN AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY, WHERE HE HAS CONSTANT CARE AND PEOPLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH. THERE IS MUSIC AND THINGS TO STIMULATE HIS MIND. HE SEEMS TO BE HAPPY THERE. IT WILL NEVER REPLACE THE WONDERFUL LOVE AND CARE HE RECIEVED FROM YOU AND HE MISSES YOU CONSTANTLY, BUT FOR NOW UNTIL YOU MEET AGAIN IN HEAVEN, REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND. HE IS BEING CARED FOR.
LOVE, JERRI

MY FRIEND REGINA AND I SHARED A LOVE OF ANGELS AND BEARS. WE WERE BOTH LOVERS OF COUNTRY AND PEOPLE. BECAUSE OF THAT WE ALWAYS HAD THINGS TO TALK ABOUT. WE ALSO SHARED LAUGHS (FREQUENTLY).REGINA WAS KIND, CARING, GENEROUS, AND COULD GET REALLY ANGRY ABOUT INJUSTICE. SHE WILL BE MISSED FOR YEARS TO COME, AND ALTHOUGH WE WILL ALL GET ON WITH OUR LIVES, REGINA WILL REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS AND MEMORIES, FOREVER. LOVE, JERRI DAVIS

Happy
Birthday Grandma. I'll miss hearing your voice every Sunday. Sean and I
will miss your care packages. However, I know you will always be with
me. I am the strong, independent woman I am today because of your love
and guidance. Thank you for all you've done. You've done more than
you'll ever know. I hope the rubberband comes in handy. I'm sure mom
and Grandpa have a lot of flicks coming to them:) We'll miss you, we
love you.

Tony & Family,
Biker Mom was one of the sweetest and funniest people we knew. Just a whole lot of sweetheart bundled up in that tiny body! We will always cherish the hand knit caps that she made for us with the BFC colors. Our tradition is to plant something growing and blooming in our garden in memory of a loved one, so Mo has to confess that on the way out of Regina's house last week she picked a piece of Regina's geranium and will always think of her when it's in bloom!
