Regina Louise Eplin, 57, of Sissonville passed away Friday, November 11, 2011. Regina was born in Charleston on March 1, 1954. She was a retired Sergeant with the Kanawha County Sheriff Department with 28 years of service and was a Navy Veteran. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Eplin; sister, Ramona Otey; brothers, Paul Michael and John Eplin. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Emily (Brian) Clark of Blount and Joshua Sheets of Belle; ex-husband and special friend, Kermit Sheets of Belle; mother, Louise Eplin of Charleston; brother, James (Kathy) Eplin of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Josh, Jordan and Madison Clark, Jacob and Robert Lee Myers and Aidan Clark; and several nieces and nephews. At Regina's request, her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. Family and friends may call one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank HospiceCare and Dr. Steven Jubelirer and staff for their love and care given to Regina. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
